ROYDON DOWNS
BUSH AND FARM WALKS

Image: The scenery along the Roydon Downs Bush and Farm Walks, near Te Puke.
Roydon Downs Bush and Farm Walks are easy walks through open paddocks, amenity trees, along streams and through native tree reserves.

A range of activities can be enjoyed at Roydon Downs Bush and Farm Walks: picnics, BBQs, camping, swimming and more.

This area is a hill country farm that has been progressively planted and developed for recreational use over 45 years.

Attractions for children include stream tubing, a waterslide, glow-worms and eels. There’s an easy return walk past a waterwheel and through native trees, which takes about two hours. The main area has a network of well formed tracks but no wheelchair access.

No dogs are permitted.

There is no need to notify for day visits, which are free of charge though a donation box is available. Maps are available in the box at the road entrance gate.

Please bring your own wood for picnics.

Roydon Downs Bush and Farm Walks is located 45 minutes from Tauranga. Allport Rd is 6km past Paengaroa on SH33.
