Katikati is home to the spiritual walk the Haiku Pathway – the only English haiku pathway in the world. The Haiku Pathway is a walk along the river in Katikati and is decorated with boulders with Haiku poetry words inscribed on them.
The pathway is 2 kilometres long and meanders parallel to the river beside the main road. You can enter the pathway from various places and it has many open spaces, clusters of boulders and crosses a beautiful bridge.
This unique pathway is open to public at all times and Haiku Pathway maps can be picked up from the Katikati visitor information centre.
